Use the Strategic Planning Checklist to
keep track of your progress during the planning process.
Step 1:
q Review the PowerPoint Document, Event Management Department.
q Review the Golden
Circle Criteria.
q When finished with Step One, move to Step Two.
Step 2:
q Review the list of Necessary Reports & Data to Analyze
q Gather the necessary reports and data that you will analyze.
q If needed, review the Analysis Checklist document under
Analysis & Trend Identification Help.
q If needed, review the Forecasting Instructions document
under Analysis & Trend Identification Help.
q Complete the Forecasting Tool.
q Complete the EM Scorecard Trend Analysis.
q Complete the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities &
Threats (SWOT) Analysis.
q Complete the Strategic Priorities Prioritization Analysis.
q When finished with Step Two, move to Step Three.
Step 3:
q If needed, review the Goal & Action Setting Help section
before moving forward.
q Complete the Goal Setting Worksheet for each Strategic
Priority.
q Analyze the impact of each goal by completing The
Impact/Effort Analysis Worksheet.
q For each goal that you have created, complete an Action
Planning Worksheet to determine the actions necessary to achieve the goal.
q When finished with Step Three, move to Step Four.
Step 4:
q Populate the Event Management Strategic Business Plan
template (Communication Template).
q Complete the Communication Plan Worksheet to brainstorm your
communication strategy.
Other:
q Use the Additional Even Management Tools & Resources to
achieve your action steps.
